breakfloor_fabric

Post by N3bulouz »

Hello everybody!

I've made a map based on the "breakfloor_2" map. It's called "breakfloor_fabric" It's a little bit bigger, and some extra modifyings.
Didn't add the blocks yet. I'm very busy with doing that. xD
Tom I don't want to copy your idea of maping maps for the server, but I thought this would be a different map then the others.

Can't see the Images.

Hmm, the map is very big and it seems you can't get team killed. That's very good, but there's one thing I don't like it then you just can get up there and shoot the people that are on the normal place, or am I wrong? Maybe it would just be a jail there? But then that could be hard to find people.

And if you are on the "safe spot" where you are standing in the beginning of the video can you walk over from the sides to the other spawn? Seems so.

But you ain't finished so can't judge so much yet.

Preview vid:
Watch the red text in the video, it contains info about the features of the map.

Thanks to Tom's brains and my brains I now fixed some things:
- The breakable glass in the middle wall is not breakable anymore, so it wont be that easy to come to the other side. :)
- The middle wall was too low, with two persons you could climb over it to the other side. It's now two blocks higher. ;)
- You might think you can go to the above and shoot everyone who is down, well, that's not true. There is only a limited view so you can't shoot all over the map. AND you're way too high too shoot on the people who are down.

i can't see the images to, but i saw the video and i want to
say i really like it:D it's breakfloor but totaly diffrent.
you can team up and let someone on the middle wall, or you are doing to sniper from the jaill
(also with a little team or you can be shot from behind)
so if you can manage to get a team you will own on this map:D
i'll hope doggie will take a look at it soon:)

Before everyone starts asking me when the map is going to be finished, i made a terrible mistake! xD
The blocks were too big (64x64x64, yes first time i'm making a breakmap). So I have to do this all over again, with the correct size.
Does anyone know this correct size for the blocks in breakfloor maps? Thanks in advance.

Hmm! I think the idea is interesting, but it needs some polishing up before it can be played publicly, I believe!

Yea good that you ask. I got an error while i wanted to export this map to a playable .BSP-file.
This is probably because there are too much items (especially blocks) in the map.
Me and Addass also had this problem with the stealth map, which means we can't make the map too big.. :(

I think i'm going to start from scratch, and remake this map, only a bit smaller, and see how it works out.
I really hope i can finish this one, because of the anti-teamkill system. ;)

Sorry for waking up an old thread, but this map may be redone in the coming weeks. You'll be updated.
